14er Mt Yale along Segment 13
Webmaster NOTE: I have only completed the first 11.67 miles of Segment 13. In this distance I have already managed 31 waypoints of information. Meaning there is a lot to this segment!

Trailhead Access
Start - Silver Creek TH

Alternate - Avalanche TH
From Buena Vista, CO. From the middle of town in Buena Vista take Cottonwood Pass Rd for 9 miles and you will see the TH clearly marked on the right hand side of the road. The road is entirely paved. There is no overnight camping allowed at this TH and there is room for hundreds of vehicles.

Alternate - South Cottonwood TH
From Buena Vista, CO. From the middle of town in Buena Vista take Cottonwood Pass Rd for 7 miles to a turnoff for Cottonwood Lake. This road is also marked Chaffee County RD 344. This road quickly turns to dirt but you are only going .25 miles down this road to get to the Colorado Trail crossing. There is room here on the left side of the road for about 3-4 cars. The actual TH sign is just a bit up the trail from the small parking area.
